What If?

Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

Psalm 150

What if this were true? What if every living creature truly worshipped our Lord. What if you and I lived this out every day? Worship is hard work. It is not always fun. The essence of worship is surrender. It is humbly submitting my will to God every moment of every day. Worship is recognizing God's awesome majesty and sovereignty. It is understanding that He is God and I am not.

God created us to worship. If we do not worship God we will worship a substitute that is sure to disappoint us. Only God is great and greatly to be praised. Join me in setting aside the substitute in favor of the one who alone is worthy of our worship.
