Hearts that burn for God

We have finished day three.  J.D. Greear spoke this morning from the story in John 4 where Jesus shares the living water with the immoral woman at the well.  Like her we all are lost in sin.  Also like her, we are forgiven as we surrender our lives to Christ.  Tonight Becky Tirabassi, shared her story of addiction, forgiveness, and deliverance.  She challenged us to have hearts that burn for God.  We were challenged to commit to spending time with God every day for the rest of our lives.  Becky also challenged us to live lives of purity before God.

We packed food bags for children in Haiti and then ate beans and rice for supper.  While most did not enjoy supper, we did realize that many children around the world are starving to death.  We learned that for the six billion dollars Americans spend on ice cream annually we could end starvation across the world.
