Update on Pastor Matt Snell

Matt Snell is pastor of the Keene Evangelical Free Church near Axtell.  He is 37 years old.  Last week after months of tests, his doctors discovered that his Aortic Valve was leaking.  This has caused damage to his heart and necessitated open heart surgery to replace the valve.  On Monday morning he had the surgery in Lincoln.  The following is an update from his wife, Joy.  Please pray for Pastor Matt and his family as he recovers from this major surgery.

Hello, Dear Family and Friends, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassionate prayers, love, concern and care.
Matthew is now "stable" and progessing appropriatley from his Open Heart
Surgery.  The surgery was successful and the Aortic Valve was replaced with an artificial, mechanical valve.  Matthew's heart responded well to the new valve, and his Surgeon was very pleased. The last two days have involved the hard process of managing his vitals,
pain and nausea.  But God has carried us from "critical" to "stable," and we are so grateful as we continue to see His hand of protection upon Matthew. Matthew took four short "walks" today.  :)  ("Ouch!" says Matthew.) Please continue to pray for his recovery and proper healing. (a long road)
Please pray that his blood pressure will regulate properly. (is running
low) Please pray for his pain management. (he's in a lot of pain)  Please pray for his enlarged heart to return to its normal state. (surgery confirmed that the heart is enlarged due the Aortic Valve leak)
We could never express in words our gratitude for your prayers during this  unexpected surgery.  There's so much I could share, but I wanted to briefly update you and testify of God's mercy in answering our prayers.
Please keep praying.
Joy Snell for Matthew :)
