EFCA SPECIAL BROADCAST

California Fires
October 24, 2007

District Superintendent Steve Highfill (EFCA WEST)  informed us Tuesday morning that with numbers growing by the hour, over 500,000 people have been put under mandatory evacuation and over 800 houses have been destroyed in Southern California. Numerous fires are still raging, so it will be days before we have specifics on EFCA family members who have been affected throughout the region.  Please join me in praying for this region and specifically for our brothers and sisters in EFCA churches.  We know that at least one EFCA church is being used as a shelter for those evacuated, and I am confident that many more are very involved.  Information and prayer updates will soon be posted on the EFCA West website at http://efcawest.org
