Keep My Mouth Shut

I heard some of the greatest advice today.  I was meeting with the Fellowship Of Christian Athletes (FCA) today.  I asked them what they would or should do when a Referee, Coach, or other player does something to make them angry when the game is on the line.  All too often we watch as professional players lose their tempers and solve their problems with fists and chairs.  I planned to talk about forgiveness and love for all people --even those who hurt us.   But again, these students taught me a lesson. Their advice:   write "Shut My Mouth" on my shoes.  So next time you see me check my shoes.  I probably won't actually write on my shoes like these students but I sure will try to follow their advice.  Many times the best thing I can do is--"Shut My Mouth"   If we all would learn to do this the world would be a much better place.
