My name is Ryan Fread Rodrigues! My Grandma told me that I should get an e-mail off to you all as soon as possible. She said that yo
u all have been praying for my Mom and me and she said that you all would probably want some news .
This is all hear say that I am going to tell you next -- These facts I got from my Grandma – I didn’t realize that it would be so important to try and get all the facts straight – I guess I have to admit that I wasn’t really paying too much attention to what was being said around me – I was just trying to survive – All I knew was that all of a sudden I was being yanked from the cozy world I had been living in. Then to top it all off, for some reason – I still haven’t figured out why -- they turned me upside down – that made me mad and I cried. – After I had quieted down all of a sudden this lady (it was my grandma) c
ame running in to the room where I was – she started snapping these bright lights in my face – she said that she was taking pictures of me – She said she wanted to take them of me in my birthday suit – I don’t know why – she didn’t do it to anyone else that I have noticed. When I was dressed they let my grandma hold me. She kept saying I was so cute – I think my Dad thought I was too, cuz he had this big silly grin on his face. Well after awhile I finally got to see my mommy too. She told me later that she thought there was something wrong with me cuz they didn’t let her see me right away.
Here are the facts that she said that you will want to know --- She said I was born from a c-section—what ever that is – I opened my eyes to this big world around me at 12:20 PM Manaus time – I weighed in at 3.500 kg (7.7 lbs) I measured in at 51 cm (20. 4 ins). I have dark hair and it looks like my eyes will be brown. They say I look like my brother, Nathan.
One other thing I didn’t understand was something about my mommy being a “negative” person. They said they needed to check me out to see if I was or not – They seemed all happy when I came back as a “negative” person too.--- I assume negative is good! – To be exact they said I was an O negative --
Well I guess I’ll let my grandma tell you why she missed out on seeing me born!
It had been said that I could go in with Hope when she had Ryan – We got to the hospital about 9 AM – she was suppose to be taken in right away –but they kept coming up with other emergency surgeries – after we had waited almost 2 hours --we were told that it was going to an other hour and a half before she would be taken in – It was decided that Joao and I would go out quick and buy a few things -- We weren’t gone more then twenty minute – when we got back they had already taken her in – Wow! Was I ever disappointed! I felt like I had abandoned her – I we finally found the delivery lounge; we caught the sound of his first cry! We finally found someone to let me in to what was left of it – I went in first to let hope know I was there and then I went to find Ryan -- I managed to get him still in his b-day suit – then I went back to Hope to hold her hand while they finished up on her. We praise the Lord for how everything went smoothly. She was in the hospital from Monday to Wednesday, which was today. I was with her the whole time – Nathan took care of Daddy, ha! Hope is glad to finally be back home. Our prayer now is that Hope will recuperate quickly --- I will be here to help her out till the 30th.
As you can see from the pictures – the Rodrigues have a beautiful dark haired little boy – his brother Nathan is proud of him. He is adjusting well to having to share mommy with little brother.
