Update on Hope Rodrigues

Hi,

I know you are all probably wondering what is going on in the Rodrigues home. As you all know they made it safely out of the tribe and were already in town a week when I arrived on the 30^th of Oct. When Nathan was born she had to have him c-section and he was born 10 days before the due date. I wanted to make sure that I was here by then. The 30^th came and went and nothing. The due date, the 8^th of Nov. has come and gone and still nothing.

When Hope went to the Dr. on the 8^th, right away he wanted to know when the c-section could be set up for --he already wanted it set up for the next day the 9^th. I was the one to go in with her, so Hope said that she would talk it over with Joao and let him know what they decided – the Dr. did a a real thorough ultrasound on the baby – and said that the baby is in super good condition -- the one thing he said though was that it looks like the cord is around his neck --that was all the more reason that he wants to do it c-section -- Since we were coming up on a week-end --it was either Friday the 9^th or Monday the 12^th -- Hope called the Dr.and set it up for Monday, which is tomorrow – the surgery should be about ten USA time– She was hoping that it would come natrual before that – She doesn't mind having a c-section if she really needs it , but here in Brazil they are so fast to do it that way. For the doctors a lot of times it’s easier to do it that way and get it over with . But then for her, she has all the pain of the surgery to have to deal with afterwards.

Please keep praying with us that everything will go smoothly – For mom for baby and for Nathan who is not use to being away from his mommy – we are praying also for Nathan’s adjustment to his new little brother Ryan Fread Rodrigues –
